I enjoy making ceramic work that appears untouched and feels raw, celebrating the material and its own characteristics. Because of this, I am drawn to handbuilding as a process and glazeless surface finishes. Previously, this preference led me to create nonfunctional pieces, fired in a salt kiln.

Currently, I am working to expand my palette to include glazed functional pieces, using the resources I have to experiment with new styles and techniques while perfecting those I already call my own.
