Tools at Hand
Equipped with a throwing wheel and an electric skutt kiln, La Capretta Studio was originially established as a pottery studio. However, creation in all mediums are welcome.
A goal for 2009 is to develop a palette of consistent electric mid fire glazes that we can use in our skutt kiln to complete projects here at La Capretta. We are currently collaborating with several local artists and potters, including Mizue Croswell of Fortune Island Pottery and Joy Bridy, to fire our pieces in wood and gas fired kilns.

With Lynsi's experience at the College of St. Benedict and with the artist potter JD Jorgenson, we hope to have some pit firings in this drum.
Painting continues to be Nancy's preferred dreamscape for creation. It's all so portable and easy to break out anywhere---even dinner parties!
